A large dust storm blew across Sudan on June 19, 2010. The tan cloud of dust blurs the landscape in this natural-color image from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite. The cloud of dust extends from just west of the Nile River to the Red Sea, across a distance of more than 700 kilometers.
