Haze lingered over the Korean Peninsula on October 10, 2006, when the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite captured this image. In this picture, the haze appears slightly less intense than the previous day’s pollution. As with the pollution on October 9, however, it may have resulted partly from Sumatra’s and Borneo’s fires.
