East Coast Snow Storm

Two days after record snowfalls blanketed the Middle Atlantic and Northeast U.S., life is slowly returning to normal. Final storm totals indicate parts of Western Maryland received up to 4 feet of snow, while New York City topped out at just over 25 inches.

This true-color image was acquired on February 20 by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) aboard NASA's Terra satellite.
